Grace

So this week I have been doing a lot of work with behind the scenes things for the blog. I have spent countless hours reading other people’s blogging advice posts and I came across an amazing ebook that really got me thinking.

The ebook I stumbled across is called Classy, and you can find it on Olyvia.co. This ebook is aimed at bloggers and business owners striving to grow and improved their brand. I would definitely recommend this to all of my fellow bloggers.

But back to my thoughts.

The purpose of this ebook is to encourage readers to relate to customers and readers in the classiest way possible. She gives tips on how to approach followers and how to  achieve success. However, the piece of advice that got me was, “always, always be generous.”

I think this piece of advice goes way beyond the concept of blogging and running a business. Being generous is what I believe we are here to do.

When I think of the word generous, the first thing that comes to my mind is grace. Grace is defined by:

  1. elegance or beauty of form, manner, motion, or action
  2. favor or goodwill

Proverbs 22:11 says that, “One who loves a pure heart and who speaks with grace will have the king for a friend.” Even though this verse may seem simple, it speaks volumes. This verse reminds us that a little kindness can go a long way. Acting with a sense of grace and elegance in all that you do opens so many doors. I believe that when bloggers and brand owners treat their fans with generosity, it allows them to become more relatable and trustworthy.  This same concept applies to everyone. The person who serves with grace in their heart is more likely to go further in life than the one who is bitter.

With this said, I encourage everyone to take a moment and see where you can apply serving with grace into your life. You never know what amazing things could happen when you do.

The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. – 1 Timothy 1:14
